of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW membership number 8993087).
I hold an MBA from Cass
Business School, having graduated in 2007.
My first degree is a Masters in Physics from Durham University.
I have gained significant post qualification experience across a
variety of industries and have worked extensively at both operational and strategic levels.
Burgopak (2006-2010)
At Burgopak I ran the Finance, Treasury, Company Secretarial and Human Resources functions
for the group.
I managed the financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes. During my time with
the company, I oversaw three successful, oversubscribed capital raisings.
The company was ranked number six in the Virgin
Sunday Times Fast Track 100 in 2008. I was responsible for Investor Relations and for liaising with auditors and tax
advisers.
Mintel (2004-2005)
I was Group Financial Controller at Mintel where I managed a team of nine people
in the Finance Department and had overall responsibility for Finance and Payroll.
I produced monthly management accounts,
the annual budget, worked with auditors and tax advisors and carried out ad hoc project work and a number of system
upgrades and implementations.
Richemont (2002-2004)
At Richemont I was
Financial Accountant with responsibility for group management accounts and UK statutory accounts. I was involved in
planning the annual budget for the group and revewing the quarterly forecasts.
I regularly worked alongside senior executives
on specialist projects and was often involved with Group Treasury and Pensions.
Deloitte (1999-2002)
My three years with Deloitte involved planning, executing
and reviewing audits for both blue chip and smaller companies. This included coordinating
and managing audits with teams of up to ten people.
I was involved in preparing financial statements for individual
companies and complex groups as well as mentoring audit juniors and reviewing their personal development.
